    Default Horrible discovery

    Dear Dr. Phil;

    I would think that most of you folks have noticed this before, but I haven't. Nor have I read about it anywhere. Nearing the close of my current campaign, I decided to finish-off the Roman factions before taking Rome. Already have enough provinces. As usual, all three factions had stacks of boats everywhere. After I eliminated those Brutus people, I noticed huge fleets of Rebels, but didn't think much about it. The Julii had so many fleets between Italy and Sicily that it was actually hard to see water. And after snuffing them, what do I see? All of their fleets are now Rebel. I hadn't seen this before; at least hadn't noticed it. Is this a glitch or normal? Should they not just "go away" like the rest of their baggage, ie, dips, spies, etc.?

    When you kill al of one's faction members, but do not conquer all of their settlements, the remaining cities do not disappear from the map but go rebel - it's logical. It seems pretty logical that navies without a clear subordination, due to their faction extinction, should go rebel as well and not sink. This is, IMO , one improvement from the MTW system.

    Anyway, rebel navies will be attacked by everybody else on the map, so they will disappear pretty quickly.

    When I destroyed the Macedonians I was aware of a huge stack of macedonian ships the spartan peninsula and I had been trailing a small army that had escaped the siege at Tessallonica (spl?). Both went rebel. Great!! pirates and bandits in my game. More easy chevrons for my legions.

    I took a small rebel town no walls on Crete below my Capital of Sparta, took 47 losses, and had sent over 600 Spartan Hoplites, plus calvery & missle units.

    Killed over 500 of em, oh well. Enslaved the town of like 3,000. Its now one of my large towns, just very isolated lol! Love killin dem rebels.

    Kydonia starts the game as rebel, it didn't (probably) turn that way.

    Why am I so horrible :(

    Yeah, the fleets go rebel after the family dies. Apparently they would rather pillage than join up with fellow Romans.
