Last time I took Crete I only had a couple of units to hold it. Very next turn, the Greeks landed with two stack of hoplites and their faction heir. Wanting to see just what was going to happen, and not being able to re-inforce because of Greeks boats cluttering-up the entire area, I waited. Nothing happened. Turn after turn, nothing happened. Years went by. I was finally able to snuff most of the Greek provinces, but still no attack and no way to re-inforce. It was MOST annoying, but helped destroy the Greeks. Can't remember now if they just "disolved" when I took their last province, or if I bought them when their faction heir consumed the fixed time period of his shelf-life. Makes you wonder why they even landed if the AI had no intention of attacking--and we were at war.

Playing as the julii, the gauls have only got two large armies left, and they just leave them sitting in britany and spain, while the rest of there country is battered and conquered. It's so stupid!!!
