    Gah!

Lemurmania either you been lurking for a loooong time or you've known something I didn't know.

AFAIK Gah started to be used by Vanya around early 2002 (I checked old posts) by some reason and it has been spread afterwards.

Only the real veterans knows exactly why.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

Yeah, Vanya puts one at the beginning and end of his every post. So, was it he that started GAH?

Ah, so I was giving a false and incomplete history of Gah. Well then, i was just relating the first time I saw it. Made sense to me. I mean, what's to argue with when someone shouts "Gah"?

I was under the impression that it was either Vanya or Krasturak who coined the term "Gah!". They roleplay as barbarians here at the Org, and have been using the "GAH!" expletive since the original Shogun days.

I like using it because it feels good and sounds better than a swear word, while serving the same purpose. Problem is, I've been using it outside of the Org too, and people react to me as if I were a nut or something. I am, but still ... gah!

Why does this sound so familiar to me?

    GAH!
Additionally I remember that Vanya once explained that GAH! stands for "Great Annual Hunt", some kind of celebration of the Mongols. During this hunt, Heads are collected (Shogun gives you the number of killed enemies as "Heads taken") which are then made into Head-Soup, of course. (Or, so they say.) Which makes sense in connection to Barbarians and Shogun.

Before I signed in at the .Org I already lurked for months and I have the impression that GAH! is here since at least early 2002.
    GAH!

P.S:Where's Vanya? Enlighten us oh Headless One!
