Thread: Wonders... not working

    Default Wonders... not working

I have noticed that wonders don't do anything.

One exaple is the Masuleum (buildings take 20% less time to build). It hasn't worked any of the multiple times I got it.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

The Mausoleum does work, and I can confirm this. Read the text description fully. It reduces the time to build buildings in all cities by 20%. The line following that clearly states that it has no effect on any building that takes less than 5 turns to build. So, it will only shorten building times that are 5, 6 or 7 turns long, and will only shorten those by 1 turn.

As Seleucids I have the Mausoleum and it doesn't appear to work for me. I wonder if any of the wonders work other than for few the first few turns after you capture them(like Zeus).

Wonders IMO are a great idea just need to be fixed in the patch.( I don't think Zeus at 40% bonus is sustainable in the long term, I reckon maybe 10% across all settlements.)

Try this. Look at one of your cities that has recently reached the 12K population mark. Pick one of the tier 4 buildings you haven't constructed yet. Right click on it in the construction window to see how long it will take. As an example, I think a dockyard takes 5 turns to build. Whichever one it is, it will have a number over an hourglass in one of the top corners; that is the number of turns it is supposed to take. Now queue it up, and look at the construction time by holding your mouse pointer over the building in the queue. If the building normally would take 5 or more turns to construct, the actual time will be one turn less.

The Mausoleum has worked for me. In my current game, I don't have any cities ready to use it. But, previous games it has worked.

It's the permanent Public Order bonus of the Temple of Zeus that appears to be broken. The temporary Public Order bonuses of the other wonders appear to be working correctly also.

I don't know how much longer I'll be able to run this game at low tax just because the damned Zeus wonder is bugged.
