Mass Battle in RTW?

Hey,

question:

I am new...well I play now for three weeks, intensively, at the cost of my GF, who hates me right now, ghehe :)

But I miss something in the game: The Mass battle of 10.000 people.

I play campaing at Medium diff. But the biggest army I can deploy is like 700 peeps. Is there some way to deploy at once like several thousands? So It would be more like "realistic". I don't know anything about the real history about those army's but my guess is that If a Roman army shows up with the most of 700 soldiers, the city which is under attack will laugh to there deaths.

So were are those mass battle's...like those from the Lord of the Rings. Just to give you an up to date example.

Deploying several army's at one city is an option, but the AI will controll it, and only if you loose units you are granted a unit.

Not sure about that - the biggest unit size I've seen is 240 (well, 241...), so 20 of those and you'd have 4800 in one 20 unit stack - So if you had four full armies ...!

Maybe in multiplayer, I suppose - anyone tried?

In past version of Totalwar the maximum troops fielded per battle has been based upon the maximum number of units fielded by the maximum number of players in an Multiplayer online game.

I don't think its is possible to acheive these numbers in single player.
