The Shogun issued a statement a few days ago: The Patch, and remember Mike B said 22 programmers out of 74 were working on the patch. It sounds like a major effort to me. You can see by the Shogun's statement that CA only gets one chance to patch. They have done well in the past with that one opportunity. I wouldn't take the lack of several smaller patches as a sign that the game can't be brought up to a good standard of play.
