How to change the normal hoplite skin to a different one

I don't how to put this in writing correctly, so I'll try to make it as clear as possible and forgive me in advance if I caused any inconvenience to anyone who reads this.


From what I've seen in the screenshots at twcenter.net, I noticed that a lot of them have their hoplite units looking like the skin of the Greek officer that is included with the game.

So I tried modding the descr_models_battle file so that the link of the normal hoplite texture is redirected to the greek officer texture thinking that the game will simply replace the skins of the normal hoplites with that of the greek officer's skin, but somehow my little experiment didn't work out as it CTD.

It's not really a big deal, but still I would love to have ALL of my hoplites, be they militia, armoured or spartan, to have helmets and armour on them like those equiped on the skin of the Greek officer.

So can anyone here provide me with a solution to my question ?.
