    Default Moooooore ballistas and scorpions

    Well, I really like these, it rocks to watch the impact. However, I found them doing to little damage for their price.
    (I know, they can save me a turn in sieges vs wooden walls, but I am not often in a hurry.)
    Yesterday I had the idea, that their ineffiency might have to do with unit size.
    I play with huge sizes, but there are still only 2 ballistas per stack - thus, they are only half as powerfull as they would be on normal sizes.
    So my question is: How can I change the number of machines per unit?
    I think 4 would be appropriate on huge.

    The unit size for artillery pieces is set to non-scalable. I suppose in order to get a larger unit you'd have to set this attribute to scalable.

    I'm not sure whether this would just change the size of the crew however;

    Bravery is to be terrified as hell;
    But to hold the line anyway.

    Ok, thank you.
    How do I make it scalable?
    Will a unit Editor, for example Godspetmonkeys Caligula be able to do that?

    Nope, it wont, but it doesn't matter.

    This is something I had fixed for myself a long time ago (anyone want some repeating ballistas? 6 per detachment!) and its pretty simple to do as well.

    Just select the siege unit you want to edit, and increase the number of extras! It's just tucked away under where you select the unit model, in the pane titled 'Soldiers'. Quick and simple!

    I think that 'extras' like siege engines are hard coded as unscalable, but I can't say for sure.

    Monkey can you run this by again? lol

    Where is all this located at and in what files? I would love to add more scorpions to my unit. Please give me a little more detail on how this is done. I've never heard this possible before.

    Do you also have a fix for the elephants to reduce their number? Reason I ask is the game CTD when you lower the elephants, no matter if you adjust the men.

    Thank you.

    Using my unit editor, changing the number of siege engines is easy.
    Just select the unit you wish to change, and then alter the "Extras" attribute.

    The attribute you need to modify is marked with the red asterisk.

    As for the elephants, no unit may have less then 6 soldiers in it (rather stupid restriction!) so for the normal elephants, the numbers cant be reduced. For the War and Armoured Elephants though, they can, just keep it at a ratio of 3 soldiers per elephant, and of course, atleast 6 soldiers, which makes for 2 elephants.
