What is?
EDIT: Oh, you hadn't put the poll in when I posted.
I don't think you would suffocate in a vaccuum...your lungs would just collapse.

Well my prefered method is to strap a tactical nuke to my forehead and nut Busted to oblivion.
Yes, well, my problem is that there actually seems to be a point to this poll. Kills my inspiration, so sorry.Originally Posted by Silver Rusher

I would wish to go out in a last stand, in a blazing glory. I want to go down having all guns blazin, charging at the enemy, taking out as many as I can.

I always feel that in those sort of circumstances, I would actually rather find myself alive and unhurt afterwards. Lots of bullet holes in my clothes, but all having somehow missed me.Originally Posted by ColdKnight

Gah!!!!!!!!
GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.

Dying by old age or falling in combat (seriously) when I have reached at least my late "middle-ages".
A friend of mine made me wonder what it would feel like to be eaten alive from the inside-out by a pack of starving, flesh-eating weasles.![]()
"And one should bear in mind that there is nothing more difficult to execute, nor more dubious of success, nor more dangerous to administer than to introduce a new order to things; for he who introduces it has all those who profit from the old order as his enemies; and he has only lukewarm allies in all those who might profit from the new. This lukewarmness partly stems from fear of their adversaries, who have the law on their side, and partly from the skepticism of men, who do not truly believe in new things unless they have personal experience in them."
~ Niccolo Machiavelli
I've always imagined myself dying before I turn 40, preferably I would die between the age of 35-39.
I've always imagined myself dying in a some kind of battle, leading the charge, jumping on the grenade, or covering the retreat of my comrades on a clandestine mission.
It's not that I want to die like this, I really just don't want to grow old.
ditto except 30 not 40 and some glorious end where i die saving others or something else heroicOriginally Posted by mercian billman

If I could choose how I'd die it'd be in a classic Samurai style showdown on the steps of the US senate. The match would have to be long and drawn out with a minimal of actual talking. Eventually I suffer a fatal wound and with my last bit of energy run my opponent through and then fall down and die.

Four stage strategy from Yes, Minister:
Stage one we say nothing is going to happen.
Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.
