I have real problems with this - first time around on the campaign and I have about 38 territories (and keep losing money - another problem). I am sure the AI is trying to force making me an outlaw. One of the Brutii towns rebelled and before Brutii had besieged it, I stepped in did the same. Once I captured it, the Senate outlawed me (and I died so reloaded to before besieging the town).

Since then I have avoided anything that could get me outlawed, but I keep getting missions where my finances will be investigated, or my family will be investigated and I have now had 2 missions where my faction leader had to commit suicide or be outlawed. The time is about 156BC - when is the Civil War inevitable as I cannot help feeling persecuted.
