I remember the names of some:
    Cliff Burton
    Jeff Buckley and
    Billie Holliday.

Oh yeah! Roger Troutman (of Zapp with the computer voice) was also shot with his brother. Also, typo: Keith Hudson died of cancer not murder.

Another great: Augustus Pablo died of cancer.

How 'bout some favorite punk rock songs? Off the top of my head, only one song per band, and in no particular order:

Love comes in spurts - Richard Hell and the Voidoids
We're living on dog food (so what?!) - Iggy and the Stooges
Warthog (and dozens of others) - Ramones
God save the queen - Sex Pistols
I'm waiting for my man - Lou Reed / Velvet Underground
    Let's have a war - Fear
Sometimes good guys don't wear white - Minor Threat
    Static - The Misfits
Pablo Picasso - Jonathan Richman & the Modern Lovers
Born to loose - Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers
Looking for a kiss - The New York Dolls
Butcher Baby - Wendy O. Williams and the Plasmatics
    Sound system - Operation Ivy
    Liza and Louise - NOFX
    Fried chicken - The Cramps
Kill the poor - Dead Kennedys
    Cough syrup - Butthole Surfers
    Bongwater - Bongwater
Crackin' up - Revolting Cocks (Also check out their cover of Rod Stewarts "Do ya think I'm sexy")
Everything turns grey - Agent Orange
    I'm not a loser - Descendents
Rock and roll gas station - Adrenaline OD
Coup d'etat - The Circle Jerks

And just because I've had it stuck in my head for two weeks:

    Lola - The Kinks

EDIT - spelled a band name wrong....
