I have now fought the same battle 4 times and gotten a CTD (crash to desktop) at the end of it each time. Prior to this, the game was pretty stable crashing maybe once every 10 hours or so.
Anyway, here's the situation:
I'm playing Parthians and I have the Pontian capital under siege with my faction leader and 6 or so units of horse archers/persian cav.
The Pontians have 4 armies in the area, one big three small. One of the small armies is their faction leader.
What typically happens is they attack me with two of the armies (about 800 men) first, I win, then they immediately attack me with two small armies and I win again, at which point it goes CTD.
Questions:
- Does this correspond with known causes of CTDs? (e.g., multiple battles and multiple armies, faction leaders and capitals involved, perhaps even the elimination of Pontus' last family members - lots of campaign map fall-out)
- Any ideas on how to avoid it? I'd hate to have to give the Pontians a break.
