Taking screenshots

Sorry if this has already been asked, but how does one take screenshots in-game? I couldn't find anything in the manual.

i'm not sure it is in the manual. hit the print screen button and the shot will be saved to your tga file in your rome folder. try hitting it a few times. on my computer at least that's the trick.

You can also remap the screenshot key if printscreen isn't responding well. For some reason, I have about a 33% chance of actually grabbing a screen with printscreen, so I remapped it to F12 (remember someone else here did that). Works 100% now. They are in the TGA folder of your RTW main folder.

FYI, remap keys by going to Options-Controls-Miscellaneous (or something close to that), and grab screenshot key will be at the bottom of the list.

There is an excellent program called "irfanveiw" lets you look at everything !!!

I tried irfanview last night, and all i got was black. No screenshots, whatsoever. I went through all 300 of my screenshots, and i got black.

Try Fraps.
Easy screenshots or movies and the fps (frames per second) are shown too.

Yes, I got the black screenshots using the in-game screen capture button, but then downloaded FRAPS and used that with no problem.
