    Default Sound judgement

I recently bought a Soundblaster card and some new 2.1 speakers (not enough space in my PC room for the full 5.1 speaker setup), and I'd like to congratulate CA on the great sound effects and music in the game. Not that I didn't appreciate them before, but honestly, I may as well have been playing with the sound off until I got the sound card installed!

I'd seriously recommend spending the paltry sum of £50 on a card and subwoofer setup for your PC - even a relative newb in PC upgrading like me will find it easy to do, and for such a small outlay, it makes all games feel new.

So go on, you owe it to your Roman Legions to ditch the onboard sound chip!

By the way, I don't work for Soundblaster, I'm just a happy customer...

You ain't lived until you've heard the full bass version of 'The day issss ouurrrrrrsssss!'

I have the Blaster 5.1 to. I have it on the 2EAX setting and it's great. I love the way the sound shifts speakers as you move around the map. Won't work on the 3EAX though. I wonder what the difference would be?

on MTW you should try turning volume and bass up to full then going right up to a cannon and hear it rip!
