I always play 60 men unit size. Now imagine I have 10 armies X 10 units (60 men each) = 6,000 men. If I had choosen 120 men per unit, I'd have 12,000 men.
My question is: should I pay double koku amount to feed my soldiers in this case? Do the koku income increases proportionally depending on the unit's size?
From what I know, farm base production is invariable in each province.

The original cost of the unit goes up. The maintenance cost goes up I think (anyone back me up on this?)
The income from land does NOT go up. Increasing the unit size makes the game more difficult - I think of it as an alternative to the menu normal/hard/expert levels.

However, unlike difficulty levels, everyone has to deal with this "handicap". I've found difficulty building units in the early game is paid back as a lesser Horde in the end game. Furthermore, you really *do* get more men for that money, they're not just as maneuverable or as quickly trained.
