    Angry open-ended game

    hello, i made it where i could attack rome first then others, i took over all other roman civs (i am julii) then started on gaul, spain and africa. once i got several provinces it said i won the game, but it wouldnt let me go on, i thouhgt this was an open ended game?

    Well there's a trick to bypass this feature by quick-saving the game just before you conquer Rome, and then reloading the campaign after the "You Won" message has popped up.
    Not entirely sure how this works, as I haven't tried it myself yet, so I guess I'd better shut up and let someone who *does* know explain how to do this.

    When you get the victory window/video deal, just hit Ctrl-S. Then you can go back and load from that quicksave. The game already counts the victory as an event that has happened, so it won't happen again, and you can play without time limits. I usually save every campaign victory like this, so I can come back and screw around with it later.
