i HATE the macedon's so much! i mean hate! (i play as the Brutii)
i see some hate the gauls here too and just wondered if you really hate them?

i hate the macedon's so much i am on a mission to destroy them, haven't declared war on anyone because the macedon's weren't dead yet. i AM going to destroy them, if it wasn't for the nasty gaul's attacking me! but i don't hate them, just a little annoyed.

I'm playing as Seleucid-my biggest antipathy was for the Egyptians as they caused the most trouble at the start. With them gone I dislike the Brutii who seem to resent my efforts at liberating Greece.

I'm constantly irritated by the Gauls. I hated them as the Roman Julii and I hate them just as much being the Germans. Plus they start with a huge empire! They also never know when they're beaten and keep on coming.

I'm in my first faction-unlocking campaign the Gauls are a bit irritating. That's why I love them. They help my generals collecting stars and it's the next faction I really want to play.

I hate the senate, and I normally play roman.

It just annoys me that no matter what I do the senate hate me, no matter how much brown nosing I still get forced to kill them, gits. I think I'll start a campaign as the gauls or germans and kill them early on.

I'm becoming increasingly fed up with Thrace in my current game. They hold byzantium and the areas to the north of it, which is a nasty eysore between my nice green territories in Greece and Asia Minor. They also seem to keep beating me to the territories to the north of the Black Sea as well, foiling my plan to encircle them. I have the trrops to crush them, but the senate wont let me off the leash. I was just gearing up to destroy them anyway, when the Egyptians jumped me, so have to put up with their presence a while longer while I relocate my troops.

If you have the troops to conquer thrace do it. If you sit around waiting for senatorial approval for your conquests you'll be waiting a long time. You don't lose points with the senate for independent conquests it gets you in good with the plebs.

but you can forget about attacking then! its my strategy not to attack but thats a huge disadvantage!

The best way to deal with Macedonians: take them out ASAP. Sure, they've got nice horsies, but if you move in early enough, you can just overwhelm them with numbers. Phalanxes are available anywhere in Greece, and picking up a couple of archer mercs at Crete helps too.

I HATE the Egyptians.........absolutely hate them.B$%&*^ds all.I play as Carthage and luckily they left me alone while i picked off the Roman factions one by one but now that i'm in their territory i just want to smash the pc screen.
I find the battles against the ridiculously over-powered chariots and axemen to be among the most hateful things i have ever endured.These battles are just no fun.I had 2 units of sacred band infantry struggle to cope with one axemen unit the other evening.The regularity with which the Eggys' can pump out armies is dismaying also.
Don't get me wrong................i can beat them and nearly always do but i just don't enjoy the battles but daren't auto-calc them.

I hate the Egyptians, with their stupid King Tut headresses, arrow-proof bare-chested axemen and annoying chariots. I hate the way their citizens breed like flies. I especially hate the way they backstab anyone and everyone. I even hated the Egyptians when I played as them.

I gotta go with the Gauls. It burns me up fighting them in forests when you cannot get the big picture and while I am sending one flank forward, they are crushing my other flank with a cav. charge.
