Thread: Eagle Taker
Shadow 08:46 12-05-2004
I recently destroyed a unit of Legionary 1st Cohorts and a pop up said that the eagle is taken to my settlement of Byzantium but I can’t seem to find it in that settlement.

So what effect does a captured eagle have on one’s settlement?

What will Rome do about it?

it does nothing but give the commanding general +1 to command, also rome will send hordes after byzantium to recapture the eagle.

can you offer it back to the romans as a diplomacy option?

I'm not sure about giving a legionary eagle back in diplomacy as an option in itself, but I suppose you could give them the city as a gift, then immediately re-occupy it. That may allow the eagle to change hands.

Yah !

I checked you can't give the eagle back as a diplomacy option.

I think you can only get it though senate missions.

Bah after kissing senate's behind for about 20+ turns and maintaining full senate ranking, I have finally received the 1st Cohort. Seriously I was really surprised it happened. They told me to take Bostra, so I was like okay might as well, it was only 2 steps away from my huge invasion force. Took it, no problem and a message popped up. Okay prolly just another useless barb mercs, and then...... 1st Legionary Cohort!!!!

Now its time to use them against senate's armies... .
