Though you can find movies about individual ronin-samurai in abundance (mostly quite old), true samurai war type movies have been rare overall, and don't seem to come out more than once or twice per decade, unfortunately.

A good japanese samurai type movie is Ran i rented it from blockbuster a while back og and the STW:WE opening cinema is a clip from Ran.
