Anyone lost?

Well, I wondered if anybody has managed to lose the game?

Not that you got totally eliminated or something along those lines, but if some other faction beat you to Rome and 50 provinces. When I think back on MTW there was always somebody who had come to 1453 and still not gotten more than about 10 provinces or something.

So I would like to know what the end is like that...

Short campaign with Scythia. Was going along slowly; subdued the north; took everything down to Byzantium; Maceadon declared war and I went 9k into the hole immediately. I was cleaning this state of affairs up when I received the message that my ally Egypt had fulfilled its conditions.

So it was just a short message that said you had lost (or your ally had won)? No comment that your people would now forever shake their heads in disgust or anything else CA could dish out?
