Game crashes when I capture Sardis

Go to an earlier game save. You have got a corruption in the save game. If you don't have an earlier save then you are SOL. TW series games should be saved at the beginning of the turn (never rely on late turn saves, they are prone to corruption.) The later you get in the campaign the more likely you are to see a corruption. Interestingly, I don't get corruptions with beginning of the turn saves.

I have had similar problems twice. Once I re-fought the same battle 6 times with a CTD each time. I even tried losing it once and still got a CTD. Finally, on the 7th time it just worked. No idea why.

The second time I fought the same battle twice with CTDs then, in the interest of sanity, simply withdrew the third time and came back a turn later.
