I think you should be able to read this for yourself. Apparently, diplomatic stances can be set automatically. This shall prove very useful, especially when in our mods we can make it so that wars are already going on when the game starts. Note that this DOES NOT work with relations between Roman factions.

How is this new? This functionality has been in the game since its released. Check out the desc_strat file in the Son of Mars campaign and at the bottom of the page you will see diplomatic stances.

What I mean is that it was discovered fairly recently. Most people didn't know how to do that until .Spartan came and told everybody.

Hate to burst his bubble, but I found that sintax in one of the template files quite a while ago, I though it was common knowledge so I didn't bother posting.
