I think your grandmother fails to notice that hitler allowed the extermination of millions of peoples from ethnic minorities.

She knows it happened and thinks that hitler went too far. When she thinks about hitler she thinks about the pre-war stuff, getting presents from the state and Germany being saved. Everything after that she thinks was a bad idea.

She does not like seeing hitler and WW2 stuff on TV and in newspapers, because it like putting salt in a wound.
