    Default Spear, Short_Pike, Long_Pike

    I seem unable to find info on this issue. It will probably sound like a rather stupid question...

    These spears are the ones used for phalanx units:

    Spear, Short_Pike
    Spear
    Spear, Long_Pike

    Thay can be easily changed from one to the other in the units files. They have standardized lenght, etc. But I was unable to find the 3d models for the 3. There is only a weapon_hoplite_pike_high.CAS and a weapon_hoplite_pike_low.CAS in the Rome - Total War\Data\models folder.

    Where are the CAS files? If these spears have some parametric characteristic in-game is it possible to change the length of any of the following spears without 3d modelling? And if not how do we find the CAS files?

    From what I've seen of the skins {when viewed in an opened CAS} , I observed that the spear/Javlin was an extreamly short/stubby item that I can only assume gets streatched by the code to whatever length is stipulated by those 3 spear types . Clever way to cram a lot of spear into a little space .

    As to what a CAS is : a mystery wrapped in an enigma ? ;p
    Haven't the first clue .

    You are refering to the unit 3d models? IIRC, regarding phalanx units those are mostly for reference. Like you said, in the case of phalanx units, the code takes care of the extension. IMHO, not for other units.

    I have. A proprietary (read CA) 3d format for storage of 3d info used in a specific game (RTW).

    I ask again: Is there ANY way to modify the standard spear lenghts???!!!!
