I don't think you can get unit size more then 243 (240 men + 3 officer). I've tried many times, even I increase the number in the export_unit file for unit size from 60 (60x4 +240 max) to 61, game CTD, or even won't load. People have been talking about 265 the max (64x4), but I'm not sure how to do that.
Well then how can I make my unit sizes 230 or 240? Where do I go? What file do I alter? Or is it a bug?
Units have a base unit size, which is multiplied by a factor determined by the unit size setting. On Huge, peasants, warbands, levy pikemen, phalanx pikemen, and some other units will be of size 240, while other units will be stuck at 160 or less. You'd have to change export_descr_unit.txt if you wanted to bump up more units' base size, but be aware that you might well unbalance the game.
-Simetrical
On 'small', actual in-game unit size = base size * 0.5
normal: * 1.0
large: * 2.0
huge: * 4.0
