Blade 3: Any impressions ??

Hi everyone

I think Blade 3 has opened on my shores this week. I love sci-fi, martial arts and Wesley Snipes so the previous 2 have been my cup of tea. I am looking forward to catching it as soon as possible. Has anyone seen it? Can you give me your impressions?

Blade 1 5/10??? Are you mad? It was a great film, not exactly mind taxing storyline but a good action film.

i would say 7/8 but derf was way to harsh, great movies.

I'm with the majority on this. I rate Blade 1 and 2 quiet highly, maybe just my thing .

I want to see Blade 3 at the cinema as I think you lose a lot by watching it on DVD. Although wouldn't miss the chatterboxes and mobile phone addicts .

well it depends if they need human blood or if any animals blood will do, Angel (from buffy and angel) used to drink cows blood. So they'd need to breed animals.

actually if you see the dvd extras and the comentary for the first filme....(i´m a geek so i do that kind of stuff

they talk about that and they had tough up a way to cover than.....supossedly the vampires would be able to keep some humans in these kind of giant blood banks....

from what i´ve hear the idea is used in blade 3 to some extent...but i haven´t seen it yet.

I reckon its better than Blade 2, but so it having a vampire dog eat your privates. Its even in my opinion with the first in quality.

One thing that pisses me off about the Blade films though is the recycled storylines. Can't they be reasonably original for once in the main storyline?

If number 3 is better than 2 I might want to see it. The fights in 2 looked great, but the script was nothing special. Stupid helpers getting killed while Superman Snipes saves the day, yawn. I had a sixpack of beer reserved for watching two movies that night, but Blade 2 required all of it.

I think the whole blade universe sucks, I saw 20 mins of the first and I will never see any blade stuff again.

btw, acording to the vampire system, vampires can indeed feed from animals.

The storyline is weak and the characters do entirely more posing than necessary or even usual in such movies, and the dialogue is abysmal. If you can shut off your mind for awhile and just watch the pretty pictures, it ain't too bad. Spetulhu is on the right track with the alcohol. I suggest a small bottle of liquor in the coat pocket and a mixer at the refreshment stand. I chose bourbon and coke.

...of course you could always headbutt a wall untill you see flashing lights. That might be cheaper.

i never liked the Blade movies because the violence looks hokey. the action does not maintain the mature gritty tone of the rest of the film

whenever a vampire dies it just has a bunch of unrealistic, stupid-looking globs of liquid float around the air for a few seconds

they even had R ratings. for R ratings they could have at least made the most of it and made the violence realistic and interesting to watch

ok well i actually saw Blade 3 now and things have gotten really, really, really bad!

they have to resort to jokes such as when the vampire girl says "tell me what you know!" the prisoner says:

"two things, first your new hairdo is ridiculous. secondly, i ate garlic, and i just farted, silent but deadly!"

--- that is an actual line from Blade 3, i kid you not!

not only was the dialogue filled with atrocious lines like this all throughout (especially by Blade's new male sidekick who tries to be funny for the whole movie even tho in reality he's just vulgar and obnoxious), the movie itself was no better

the Whistler and Blade relationship is given almost zero weight in this movie (unlike the first 2); in Blade 3 Whistler is just an "old man" to Blade and that's the extent of their relationship

there is hardly any action in this new movie, and what little there is as hokey as usual

much of the screentime of the movie is wasted trying to sell you and me iPODs - they have at least two distinct scenes of which the sole purpose is that: selling iPODs to the audience!

they even call Dracula "Drake" in this movie instead of Dracula in order to make him sound more 'trendy'

all in all, i agree with the other guy who said Blade movies get progressively worse and gave this one 4/10. good call!

Blade 1 was a great film- the nightclub scene is a classic and the soundtrack was superb.

Blade 2 was gash. Nuff said.

yes i agree.....the first matrix is a classic......the second is an ok movie but it loses it´s impact...because let´s face it....it´s just filler to get us to the third movie....

as for the third movie i´m with you....the guys that wrote that piece of crap should be lined up against a wall and shot.....i remember stepping out of the theater thinking "how can you screw up that bad??"

I was seriously dissapointed with the 3rd film. Not only was the script bad but the acting was attroscious as well.

Also what's up with all the black people. It was 60% black people.
