In remembrance of our great Admin Tosa Inu, A tireless worker with the patience of a saint. As long as I live I will not forget you. Thank you for everything!
Gawain's gotta be going nuts.I don't care too much, but I think its kind of a bad thing, because it was obviously a popular place. People liked it. So to shut it down means that many people are missing out on something they enjoyed. If it had little to no posts in it I could understand. I guess it doesn't matter to me either way though. Life still is terrible at the moment....could be worse, but could be much better. I guess an online forum closing won't make things much better or worse.
I've probably fought a few more battles online since I wasn't cruizin the Backroom.

Well I am probably missing it as yesterday I had a huge debate on certain political areas with my father and even my mother... I fear it might flare up again today when other family members are round, oh backroom save me.
It was great though, a classic moment, when my father stood up and saluted the Queen as the national anthem played - while I turned around, exposed my backside and slapped it in her direction - only for the Queen to go on and talk about tolerance and how good different cultures is for our nation - something I had been arguing about with my father and something he was totally denying in his bigoted, horrible, twisted reality. It was just too funny to even imagine happening.
GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.

So what happened exactly?
Was there a massive battle that got so ugly the mods just decided to annihilate the Backroom? Or was it deleted for some other reason? Banwidth for example.
Good thing.
The backroom is like a car wreck for me. No matter how ugly you have to stare at it, y'know? I try to stay away, but I keep going back even though I know its full of people and opinions that annoy the hell out of me.
Plus I can't sleep when I've been in there and I work shifts.....maybe I should just get the mods to ban me from there?![]()
"I request permanent reassignment to the Gallic frontier. Nay, I demand reassignment. Perhaps it is improper to say so, but I refuse to fight against the Greeks or Macedonians any more. Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. I am not the young man I once was, but I swear before Jupiter Optimus Maximus that I shall see a world without Gauls before I take my final breath."

Or... just do like me and keep busy doing other things.
If you must go in there go with an open mind so you can observe and understand rather than pass judgements and criticise ---> which is typically what happens when most go to the backroom (NOT referring to YOU).
If you remember me from M:TW days add me on Steam, do mention your org name.

Tosa closed the backroom until the 27th for the holidays. To foster peace and goodwill throughout the community would be my guess.Originally Posted by Longshanks
However since I am at my inlaws - the closing of the backroom means I have to share my views if not my exact thoughts on the subject with the family. SInce most of them agree with me being that they are from the heartland of the United States - its not a very imaginative discussion on politics and religion.
O well, seems like 'some' people decide to ruin a perfectly valid threat. Nice going guys... doc bean
Hmmm is it that bad then. Compared with 99% of the forums it is a shining light of civilisation (god how do you spell it), even with the more controversial topics.Originally Posted by Redleg
