What's you're favorite colours?

Mine happen to be black, green, gold, silver, and crimson, in that order.

Nah I forgot where I picked it up. I spell some words with a our and some with just an or. depends on the word. I spell theatre the english way, yet i spell center the American way.

black is the absence of photons, white is a mixture of many wavelengths... so white is the colour of everything...

Blame Samuel Johnson and Noah Webster. Here's a little more detail.

We Yanks merely continued a tradition the Brits started, sort of like the rest of our systems and values. For example, the British cherished liberty, so we fetishize it. The British marginalized monarchy, so we eliminated it. The British enjoyed bad food, and we perfected it. We just take everything a little further. It's part of our charm.
