Hello mates.

I fail to find any adequate resources about the medieval to pre-modern naval history of the region. Will you please shed some light on related topics; such as who were in charge (did the Mughals/Safevis/you_name_it rule the seas anyway?), what ship types were in use, who were remarkable navigators/admirals/pirates etc. (save Zhéng He), what kind of activities were happening (trade routs, pirate raids, battles against colonizers, whatever)...
