I've never been the target of an assassin in R:TW (that I know about, maybe I'm missing something), does anyone know what notification you get when you a) lose someone to an assassin or b) have an failed attempt on one of your characters? Does it show who was responsible? Some games (MoO, BotF) would frame another faction for the hit/sabotage, some even allowed you to choose who to frame. Good way to drive a wedge in between a couple of allies. Delightfully evil

Ive had my agents assassinated (at least), and no, there is no warning announcement or signal. i think that its kind of cool. i remember thinking, "where did my assassin go...", then sending in a spy to check it out, only to find the enemy spy and assassin double team. my spy soon followed.

i think that assassins are balanced pretty well, so long as you dont quick load for a failed attempt. it does take a while to train up a good assassin, only to have them die from old age at 34.

Would anybody know how to mod the hire-assassins-with-your-diplomat-thingy?

I'm not very computer literate (yet)!!

Otherwise, I'm gonna be forced to post my idea on the .com...and then CA will have to snap to it...because I'm a paying customer and they want me have satifaction!!

I've been thinking though...didn't the Romans, when they wanted to kill someone, usually just send a squad of Praetorians over to the problem-childs' house an knock 'em all off? They'd kill everyone there, slaves, pets...chickens!! They'd eat all the food, drink all the booze, AND...I think they also used to leave to Latrinia seat UP as well...fiendish...really...

Why do the assassins in the game ALL look like Heracles? Shouldn't they at least be culturally appropriate (Hollywood style would suffice)?
