Unit Size?

I hear a lot of talk about getting more units, more than the 40 that they give you. How do you get this and what should you change it to?

In the options tick 'advanced' this brings up a bunch of previously hidden options.
The one to change is 'unit size'.
'Large' is 80 & 'huge' is 160.
Huge battles are awesome but can bring a powerful PC to its knees & also can give even bigger problems for pathfinding & unit placement.
I find large unit size to be best on average.

In Shogun & Medieval however, I used to almost exclusively use huge.

In the main menu of RTW: options/video settings then click on the "show advanced options" box, there you will find "unit scale"

Only using the largest size gives you the correct feel of the game.

Any smaller and the battles feel somewhat like just short, crude skirmishes.

But you do need a GOOD computer to run it.
