Adding new units to other fraction???

Hi all....read that there are ways to add new units to other fraction....does anyone know wats e procedure like??....thanx

Well, for instance, if you want to add a "2" to a "1/2", you can suppose the "2" as a "4/2" and add that up to the "1/2", which will make it "5/2". So, if you add a 2 to a 1/2, it becomes a 2.5.

You want to know how to add a unit to other fractions not other factions . You see the difference there. Ptah answered the question you asked Besieger, the problem is you didn't ask the right question for the information you wanted.
