Thread: EQ2 or WoW

    Default EQ2 or WoW

So what do you guys reckon?

I've got EQ2 and been playing it for about a week and I think it's quite an improvement on EQ1, but, WoW comes out here in about 2 weeks. Is there anyone here that has already played both? What were your thoughts?

i have friends who play WoW and i just bought EQ2 - they are very simmiliar but overall i prefer EQ2 it has more depth where as WoW can feel like Diablo Online at times... that said it really depends what you are looking for

I would have to say WoW, EQ 2 seems to be just EQ with a few new features while WoW is a whole new game with a new flavor and such. But everybody likes to neglect their wordly responsibilities in a different way.

WoW is far from Diablo online, but its pretty mainstream, though what makes it stick out is the instances (think of it a copy of a dungeon just for you and your party) and quests, seriously you don't have to grind in WoW, not even for money (well a bit), even the devs said that most of your equipment will be drops and rewards not ones you bought off the Auction House or bought it from an npc vendor.

They are right, i'm a 48 orc warrior and 90% of my equipment are rewards from quests and drops.
