It's definitely the best when the contestants do something obviously stupid and they cut back to him going, "No! What are you doing!?"

I thought he was fantastic. He had a real energy, and was extremely funny.

I imagine it'd be a laugh to be lectured by him.

Yeah, it's the real passion he has for the subject that you respend to. He gets so exciteable talking about it you can't help but enjoy listening to him.

And you know the producers considered him an asset, because they started to encourage his nuttiness by giving him cocktail shakers and stuff to launch the blocks across the table. :D

    As Spino said, yes.
In ancient times 'c' was 'k' in latin. Thus everything that contains a 'c' is pronounced with a 'k', and we have the spelling of the Macedonians from the Romans (given we took over their alphabet which in turn was derived from the greek alphabet). So it is Skipio, Prinkipes, Kaesar and so on. I think even 'ch' was pronounced as 'k', but now it is getting a bit outside my area.

And yes, I love Nusbacher. His love for the issue is evident, and he gets carried away like I do at times (at least that is what my girlfriend tells me). Of course some of his antics in the postbattle part is too much (like when he kicked the bricks around), but some were absolutely superb like the cocktailshaker and the throwing of toothpicks.

Didn't he start getting all his toys AFTER that?

    "Um...did he just...?"
"I think he did. We can't control this loon."
"Give him toys. We can at least keep all his limbs where they should be."

okay, i know that's how a classical latin speaker would pronounce the "ce" in macedon, but i guess i'm just wondering, how do greeks refer to the region? and what about thrace? i guess a roman would pronounce it "trakay" (with a rolled "r") with it current spelling, but what about the greek pronunciation - and not necessarily as we spell it today?

Greek today is quite a bit different from ancient greek (while 'b' is infact pronounced 'v' now it was pronounced as our 'b' back then), so there are parts that we simply don't know how they pronounced. I'm not sure if Thrace is part of that, but since the romans took more than just a lot from the greeks in terms of regional names (among others) I think it is safe to say that the roman name is fitting enough. And since greek has a 'ch' letter a 'k' letter and an 's' letter it is safe to guess that if the romans even just copied the written greek name for Thrace it would sound right.
