Has anyone ever seen a non-player controlled non-Roman faction take and hold a city on the Italian peninsula? I have never played a campaign past 200 turns since it invariably becomes redundant at that point and I am convinced that the way the factions are balanced it is currently impossible for a non-player faction to invade Rome. As it stands, the three roman factions march over everything in their path except Egypt, and that is simply because 200 turns in the Romans haven't usually traveled that far and all of the other edge of the map factions have been eliminated by their neighbors. IMHO the Romans are unbeatable. I am simply seeking confirmation from other people's experiences.
