    Default Hero

Read in the papers today that when the tsunami strikes a Danish tourist instead of running for his life, dashed to the beach trying to save those children from the wave and he make 6 trips to the beach, grabbing an armful of stranded children from the wave each time and charge for a hut on a hill 50m above sea level where everyone had clustered but the parents of the kids have no change to thank Mr John Mailand, 32 as on his sixth trip into the storm, he was swept away by the second round of the tidal waves as he try to extricate a debris pinned mother and child.

This is a very touching event that show us that even in times of great disasters there are still people who are willing to forsake their only safely and life for others and due to one man’s courage 10 child are given the chance of a new life. This man is truly worthy of the title hero as he risked his life for people that he didn’t even know. He shall be remembered.

    He have my greatest respect

I would like to think that I would do the same in his place.....

It is good to hear that there is at least some courage, honor, and selfless acts left in the human race. Thanks for the great story Shadow.

Ditto, what a brave and great bloke.

INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.

You are welcome, the main purpose that I post this is to let people know of this great guy and his sacrifice for others and also to show that there are courageous and selfless people out there during time of trouble.
