..and Demon buildings. Again a compromise but i think it works ok.

I like the colour. If I could make a suggestion.. perhaps you could add skulls and bones into the wall texture so it looks like the walls were made out of human bones and rocks.

And maybe the walls and buildings for the demons could be maybe less geometrically perfect ? hehe.. I know it's much easier to model a nice wall like that, and it does look nice.. but it doesn't sound like even you yourself is completely happy with it.. it would add more if it looked like it was thrown together, and not built so perfectly.

I don't know how large the wall textures are, so I don't know if it'll be possible to make it look like scattered bones built into the wall, but if you do this and make it look allright, I think it'd be quality. :D

All right, one more thing, you might have already thought of this, but will the demon units cause fear ? like elephants do ? I propose that the demons have weak attack and defense, but cause a lot of fear, reducing morale for the opposing army.

Maybe if you place the largest templeof baal in the midle and have it really dark it would look really evil as it is a fairly large building

The Chinese buildings are incredible. I love the towers. Great tough they are - it'll look much cooler to siege chinese cities now, looking at those massive walls with the high towers standing behind them.

They arent new. Quite the contrary they are very old units. There used to be screenshots but then hoggy changed hosts and never reposted the shots. Many of the units are in this predicament.

"Daimyo"s - the regional Japanese lords - have bodyguards called Hanamoto (SP ? Kagemusha knows a lot about them). If a Hanamoto quits the job and wanders freely - living in a legal or illegal manner - they are "Ronin"s then.

Well, RTW is -as one friend has a signature written - a do-it-yourself project. Very mod-friendly. But creativity is what makes your work stand out among others. Filling Asian culture with fantastic elements was something several CRPG games tried to do before, but I think it will be a RTS managing it perfectly.

Man, hoggy those walls are truly epic! I'm eagerly awaiting this mod to be released. You're such a talented skinner that I think it's somewhat of a pity your mod had to be fantasy rather than historical. Not that your mod isn't good, it's great, but IMO it'd be so much better if it was historically accurate. When you're done with this mod, do you think you'll join another mod?

I believe hoggy's stated that he just uses what he thinks looks cool.

Given the excellence of documentation of the Song-Qing era, it might be a conincidence that hoggy would end up using more of that. And so far he hasn't used anything with Manchu influence, which is great.
