Wow, incredibly impressive. I love them, especially the Indian ones, probably because I've always been a fan of the whole Taj Mahal thing with all its random arbitrary towers.
will those towers and palices also be in the battlemaps?

Definitely a team effort this. There's three of us permanently on the job. Blindfaithnogod, Sykotik Rampage and me all working equally hard to get the mod together.Originally Posted by jerby
Looking at the buildings, I think putting the Koreans with the Chinese building set would be a mistake.
Your Japanese buildings are far more similar to traditional Korean architecture.
Also, what was the inspiration for the Havarak Masoleum?
Hoggy please make a custom battle beta now![]()
Hoggy, I ain't seeing any of your pictures.

it's ok, my host is down for a bit by the look of it.

Hoggy, have you done LOD models for all the units you've shown? If not, are you going to make them before you release?

Is it just me or have all of hogeys screen shots been moved form this thread i read the whole thing yet cannot seem to see any? i would be gratefull for any help thx.
At the moment hoggy's screens host is down. Perhaps because of exceeding bandwidth as it seems that everybody loves to drool over hoggy's creations for several hours each day.Originally Posted by 990168

My host site has gone offline and the friend who runs it is currently in Vegas sampling the delights of american hospitality (and losing his shirt no doubt). Should be back online soon, sorry guys.![]()
nice settlements hoggy! i can't wait till this comes out!!! keep up your work..... but how much more is there to do? (as in a list) cos you have done so much so fast i am unsure of what there is to come?!?
I'm finishing off some strat map stuff for the next week or so, building assasins, spies and diplomats etc. Then I'm going to have another go at the battle buildings which is a pretty huge job. Still alot to do..
Here is PixelGenie's next unit in the Mongol faction, the heavy mongol cavalry:

One word: WOW!![]()

Wow. THey look amazing, both horse and rider. I love it.
But one thing...swords? Shouldn't heavy cavalry have some lances to cause the serious damage on the initial charge?
Another thing. Is he wearing a dress (for lack of a better term)? Maybe theyre just really baggy pants. But it looks as if hes wearing a dress which is impossible while riding a horse. I would suggest changing that. I also think they need a lance with the sword as a secondary weapon. Otherwise it looks great.
Shifty: Yes those are pants, i think they are correct form a history stand-point but it doesn't really matter. Presonally i think they look really cool.
IPose: As to the matter of lances, you are incorrect. Remember stir-ups weren't introduced in europe 'til 'round the 1100s (aprox. guess, no one is sure) so the mongols wouldn't have them til at least the 9th Century probably closer to the tenth maybe even eleventh century. Either way lances are only good for one charge and the light lances before stir-ups are barely effect as shock, much better as javilins. Considering the Mongols tactics swords were a necessity, i.e. the mongols didn't bother with lances because they just got in the way if you want to run through the unit or disengage quickly. However if you want to get technical if i'm not mistaken the mongol swords were much thinner like sabers, or rather much closer to a scimitar than a falchion.
Either way those guys look great, i wouldn't want my units to go up against a horde of 'em.
