    Default ChivalryTW Public Beta 0.1 RELEASED

    The first Chivalry Total War public beta (Hastings theme) is finally finished and uploaded. This release is a preview containing:

    -13 new units, ranging from norman and viking axeman to crossbowmen and feudal knights.

    -2 playable historic battles:
    *Hastings
    *Clontarf

    -4 factions (Denmark, England, France, Holy Roman Empire) for Custom and MP battles


    Next public beta (codenamed 'Early Europe') will include a playable campaignmap and all early era european units and factions, both in singleplayer and multiplayer.

    Hmmm, i think it's noteworthy that the page doesn't seem to viewable in mozilla firefox, so you can't see the download.

    It seems to work fine on my 1.0 Firefox.

    Make sure you look carefully at the page that loads ! The download link isn't very conspicuous - it's in the middle/top right, right above the readme.

    Is it possible for you to pack your mod with vercingetorix's mod packer?
    This would make people not have to have many installations of RTW, which takes up about 3 GB, I think...

    Looks terrific. Hope the rest is this good. The type of Mod I've been waiting for most has been a MTW mod and this looks great. Also I liked the early and viking era best and that seems to be your era which is awesome.

    p.s. what was the song in the intro? I've been wanting it for a while and this just sparked my interest to actually look for it.

    the intro starts with "O Fortuna" by the CSR Symphony Orchestra. It ends with gladiator's battle theme I believe.

    I'm sorry, I will not create an rmd format file myself, because even though it would work for this beta, it will nolonger work for the next. If you really want to you could always create it yourself :)

    I think that what you guys are doing with this mod is awesome. Unfortunatly, i dont have any experience modding, but if you need historical reasearch or testing or something like that done, i would be happy to help.

    I have created a .txt file to create an RMD with Vertig... or whatever his name is mod packer.. just open the mod packer, while having all of chivalric total war extracted in that folder (having it all in the "data" folder) then, writing the destination of the .txt file.. (WARNING! YOU MUST HAVE THE INTRO ADDON FOR THIS TO WORK, or you can go delete the command for the intro) Took me a long time to do, copying and pasting EVERY single file seperately.. uhh, he should make some auto compiler..     Nothing went wrong, you have to put a $new before every file that didn't exist in the rome total war directory.... atleast i think you have to.. well it works anyways. so it's good!
