    OK

Is there a recap of the improvements/changes and does anyone know of any adverse affects and can it be removed if I "try it".

    Well, I'd say

    pro's:
    -more historicly accurate
    -better gaming experience
-easier to keep your citizens happy
    -much better battlefield experience
    -larger map (it includes scotland!)
    -more provinces
    -smaller problem with AI shipbuilding
    -unified rome!
    -cool new units
    cons:
    -not a history textbook (yet)
    -unified rome!
-it is somewhat buggy (there is a huge bug with the generals)
-there are a lot of useless features which appeared great, but turned out to suck, like the ZOR which sucked and the new carpenters buildings and the like, which sucks a lot more!
-easier to keep your citizens happy

my verdict: wait for Total Realism 5.0 to be released, it promises to be a lot less bugy (which is a huge downside of it) and removes some of the useless features from the game.

oh, and like with any mod, it is difficult to remove it, unless you made a backup, or you are willing to reinstall the entire game once you get tired of it.

I recommend you to use RTR 3.2 until the 5.0 is released. The new buidings in 4.1 only makes the AI more stupid than it already is.

    where do I go
and what other mods are out there for rome

sorry about that I found the uploader immediately after posting this
but Im not sure where to start downloading for the realism mod...
can some one give me a link that will give me the most current version, full version that is, or atleast tell me which ones I need to download to have the best working/best one out there?

he asked what it was though, the point wasnt to have someone tell him to try it. And if u recommended it you could have taken the time to give him so info about it like others did with their recommendations.

In order to make it easy to remove, you need to make a copy of your entire data folder in RTW. This takes about 15 minutes or so (at least on my PC it does). Then you can install RTR, try it, and if you don't like it just delete the data folder you installed it to and rename the copied folder back to data.

RTR 5.0 has been promised to be released today. More provinces, better units, more fun.
I've been playing RTR 4.1 for about a month and apart for the general's CTD bug (which is already fixed) I can say is a far superior game than vanilla RTW. No dog hordes or deranged pyromaniac swines to ruin your day.

My brother plays this, but with the inclusion of Unified Rome, I'm going to have to make my own mod...

But the UR feature will be included in RTR 5.0. RTR 4.1 still has all 4 roman factions. Plus there is a rumor there will be an option to play both roman versions.

Yes - the plan is a Unified Rome version to be released today, and a non-unified Rome version in several days.
