    Default Comedy, and so on

so, what is your preferred comedy of the moment? i'd say the Spaced crowd I liked, the geniuses (geneii?!) behind Black Books also deserving commendation, bill baileys' stand up routine being most impressive (the-laminated-book-of-dreams at argos and kraftwerk doing "das hokie kokie" will stay with me till the grave...) and umm...I dunno, the python crowd and the movies and series by members; a fish called wanda and fawlty towers all being good, father ted, marion and jeff and so on also great. Shaun of the Dead being an example of a great comedy film of recent times...
all that being my rambling, incoherent, slightly cider-smelling introduction to The Comedy Thread, for logging comedians you like, films, series, perhaps an introduction to a comedy routine you've been working on, feel free to contribute...

a fish walks into a bar, and due to the physio-biological difficulties inherently involved, the joke rapidly implodes...

Shaun of the Dead made me laugh more than any film I've seen in ages. I saw it on DVD with a few mates, and the bit where he goes for the cornettos and can of 7-UP and completely fails to notice that everyone's a zombie had the lot of us almost in tears. That and the deciding which records to fling at the zombie woman - "Dire Straits?" "Chuck it."

    "Any zombies out there?"
"Can't see any. Doesn't look like it's that bad actually. Oh no, there they are."

my fav comedy of the moment, and of all future moments most likely is (will be) Mr. Show with Bob and David. nothing else really even come close for me.

fav current stand up comic is probably dane cook.

fav comic movies.. well, i'd have to think about it. some that come to mind are Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Super Troopers, Big Lebowski, Intollerable Cruelty.. but those are just the first four to pop into my mind..
now i'm here, and history is vindicated.

I like the G.W.Bush World Tour. I get more laughs out of that than anything else.

(Also Larry the Cable Guy. )

G.W Bush world tour, eh?. I'm not sure, the guy seems to have been getting complacent, no new material - just the old mispronouncing countries' names and long words (in a completely post-modern, ironic way, of course)
dane cook? don't ring a bell, must check some more out...
as regards monty python films, im not sure of the fav. possibly life of brian
