    Default time commanders bigger and better?

    In time commanders some battles are the same as the historical battles,i was just wondering are those particular battles bigger and better than the same ones in rome total war?e.g Battle of the river Trebia

    Some differences can be found, think of those as historical recreations and this as a feature of gameplay with historical references, thats how I've looked at the two differences.
    All those lives lived so costly now exist there.

    yes, the TC battles use much larger maps and use far more troops than even the "huge" unit size in the retail version of RTW. the show does not use the game itself - it merely uses the RTW engine. they are probably using some crazy mainframe or cluster of steroid-injected systems.
