I need help on my unit card!!!

Hey, I am a new guy here. I have play this Total war from the begin of STW, MTW and RTW. For a long time I never try or thinking to remodding the game and recently I am learning how do it, but I got hold down by a very easy modding prossing which I read so many note and checking from the forum. I just too bad on this work(modding) I finished most of the work(creating a new merc unit) but I really don't know how to set the unit card right so that it will show e in the game.

I used Greek elephant cataphract unit file to creat a new merc unit called merc greek elephant cataphract.

as most of us know that when you get into to game this unit is there but will show it unit card as "peasant", I want to used Greek elephant cataphract unit card as this new merc unit card, but I try so many time.(I fail) I really like to make it right, and I not good on using Photoshop, I wish some of you can give me full guide to help me to finished this project. Thank You!!!


Also can anyone of your can show how to change the unit color? For exmaple most of the merc unit is in color green in game(merc greek hoplites), how can I change it color to other color, can you guys give me a full guide too. Thanks!!!

for the unit card, first you need to download Vercingetorix's PAK extractor
from here:
http://www.twcenter.net/downloads/db/?mod=43

then run the PAK extractor (it has instructions) after it's done go to data\packs\DATA\UI\UNITS
it has all nations listed, find the unit card you want and copy and paste it
into data\UI\MERCS & data\UI\SELUCID (you might have to create the folders UI, MERCS & SELUCID)
finally rename it #greek_elephant_armoured

PS- for the photoshop tutorial i have no idea
