    Angry a skirmish rant...

    how come, my skirmishing units (even fast horse archers), left on their own, get invariably pinned at the map's edge even if chased by infantry.

    nonetheless, if i (a human player) send a single fast unit after an AI horse archer unit, the latter is always able to turn and skirmish further even at the map's corner...

    couldn't they (CA) just have used the same AI skirmish control code in both cases?

    that would be great, HA would be unstoppable, I don't mind that at though .
    maybe in a next patch ? for now we will just have to micromanage our HA and any other skirmishers...that's stupid but well nothing we can do about it just yet I think

    well, horse archers are supposed to be unstoppable unless countered with another (or rather-several) missile unit.

    if we want to simulate the real battlefield - there would be no "map's edge"... horse archer range would be wherever the horse could take them... in the game, it has been successfully (in my opinion) simulated by the battle timer.

    i have lost a couple games because i had insufficient number of missile troops to shoot them down or fast cavalry (u need at least 2 units if you want to catch an ai skirmisher this way) leading to the battle timer running out... which is ok :(
