Wish I'd have thought of that. Actually, that was the problem. The window had no "x" in the upper right and there was no close option with a right click. I had to alt-tab to get to any other window. I eventually had to "end task" to stop that darn cat. Well, at least the screen is really clean.

That's pretty funny.

Mind you, I was going to post a question with the exact same title. What is a good way to clean the screen besides spitting on it and wiping it with kleenex? Is it safe to use Windex or is monitorial suicide?

(Oh and don't gob on the screen to clean it while you're drinking coffee. Gross!)

??? I wouldent recommend gobbing on your screen at all let alone with coffee in your chops. I just use a damp tissue, seems to do the job, spit just smears. (Unfortunate accident whilst typing a letter with a partuculary snotty cold taught me that one!!!)

probably the best method is to use a very slightly damp piece of newspaper. you dont want it dripping; water runs down into the crack between the glass and the plastic case and you DON'T want water getting anywhere near where the electrical parts are. so, just slightly damp and dry quickly with another piece of newspaper or paper towel. DO NOT USE WINDEX OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL GLASS CLEANER! they tend to smear and smudge.
