How can I disable gloss effect on roman auxillia archers?

Greetings....

Is there any way to disable the gloss effect on the roman archer auxillia?

Do i need to unpack the "tga" files and rename one of the other files(that i know dosnt have this effect such as roman archer?)to "unit_roman_auxillia_archer.tga"?....then just put the renamed file into "data\models_unit\textures"?

Would that work?...if so,where can a get a tga extractor?

I tried to renaming a carthaginian archer tga(that i got from a mod) which dosnt have the gloss effect,but it didnt work.

I seem to have fixed the problem....i just turned "gloss" to false in the preferences txt file.

Nothing apart from units uses the gloss effect does it?....not citys and stuff like that?... i hope not anyway....cos ive turned it off.
