is there any way to get these units in a campaign:

-deceres (not from senate rewards)
-1st legionary cohort(s) (the cohorts with the eagle standard)

forgive me if i may seem a little naive/stupid for asking such a...wild...question.

decere - Only with Neptune's pantheon (Lv 5 Scipii temple) 3 Turns to build one.

1st Legionary cohort (eagle) - I'm sorry but no, only the old women of the senate can give you them.

Anyway mate Deceres are ships which only the House of Scipii can build, the House of Scipii gets the strongest navy in the game

An Awesome Temple of Neptune allows them to build a Corvus Quinqereme which is a slightly stronger quinqereme vessel.

A Pantheon of Neptune allows them to build a Decere, which takes three turns to construct and is desribed in the unit description as 'a Dreadnought of the ancient world'.

The temples also allow Scipii Admirals in port to pick up 'Priest of Neptune' ancillaries which aid their command rating.

No surprise you miss it.

The damned decere is very, very rare indeed. Only the Romans got it, and only the Scipii can build it, after one of their cities become a huge city and built the Pantheon of Neptune, that is... and has no ship picture! I hate the ugly peasants representing the "Behemoth of the Mediterranean!"

Is anyone here knows how mod the ship speed? It seems funny that I can't get across from Carthage to Carthago Nova within 6 months, or even a year.

Any help would be appreciated

A fleet of Decere's is very rare but much powerful. A fleet of 4 decere's of mine sent fleets twice there number packing taking 15% casualties.

The Deceres in my version (normal 1.1) have the appropriate pictures and all so it must be another problem with yours Antochus.

Yep. the Deceres gets a fancy blue boat with a gold rotunda thingummy on it. Once I had enough cash as Scipii it's the only boat I built. Send them off for a gold upgrade, and you're rocking... :)

I get the picture all and well. So I wonder why some people don't get it. I have not touched the files at all. Could that be the problem you guys don't get it?
And yes, the Deceres is a very impressive ship to both look at and use.
I had a single one of them (transporting an important army) take out an Egyptian navy of 5 ships... BAM!

It can happen to anybodies copy of the game. What makes it more likely to happen is cheating and poorly made mods. I myself have had scre ups in the unit card graphics after prodigious use of the process_cq cheat. And even now rebel gladiators look funny and gray. Mods I am using are the admirals commnad star fix and the 1 turn build mod.

I see, may be I modded the game a bit too much.

Still, does anyone knows how to make the ships have better movement points?

And, do your rebel generals (not the characters, just the unit called rebel generals.) have their picture or being gray peasants like mine?

May be I need to reinstall the game, will it solve the problem?

mod it yourself from the export_buildings.txt, look up the unit and change the avialable factions to whomever you want, (the building too if special)
