I usually either visit a friend who bought it and try it out, or rent it from Blockbuster, etc., first. That way I can determine if I like it enough to drop a Grant for it.

I can tell you what little I know but it isn't encouraging. First, I can say that sales of this game have been underwhelming. I can say that because I work at a game store and I can't have sold two copies of this game as of yet. I have no recollection of having sold ANY copies of this game and that takes in over 100 transactions. Maybe its a big hit nationwide. I don't know. I just know that in my neck of the woods, it isn't doing so well. Second, before my shift started I played the game for a little while. It wasn't terrible but I also wasn't very impressed. It takes alot more for a shooter to impress me than what that game had. Third, my lack of knowledge in itself says something. When a game is highly anticipated, we hear about it. We get to know certain titles based on how often it is reserved (pre-ordered) and how often we sell it or answer questions about it. This one wasn't even on my radar until I saw the playable demo at the store. All told, I would advise getting a used copy of the game sometime after you get a job. The good news about used games, (at least at GameStop) is that you can return them for a full refund with your receipt. With a new game, once the plastic is broken, we can only ever accept it as used and give store credit for it.
