Id declare ichi's the 10/10. I like meaningful, yet simplistic. Capo's most likely contains the most truth in it though.

I like Griz's the best personally

    Grizz's is a great quote.

yeah i liked it so i had to have it, it was shortened a bit a to make room for a trust me kerry won't win quote from gawain, which was removed for obvious reasons... postcount + 1 sounds much better..

If Idaho had been famous, that's be in a book somewhere.

damn right, so true and well put.

I think sigs and avatars are boring and I never look at them, sorry. I chose the edit option to hide them.

    what about this

the day i'll surrender has yet to come
that day all the trees are gone
that day i'll put my fate in your hands
but never before that day our fight is over
never for that time ill will stop my holy quest
and after that the only things that rest
shall be your soul burning forever in hell

    We do not sow.

    6.5/10 for Big John
Mine's good 'ole right wing motivation.
"And one should bear in mind that there is nothing more difficult to execute, nor more dubious of success, nor more dangerous to administer than to introduce a new order to things; for he who introduces it has all those who profit from the old order as his enemies; and he has only lukewarm allies in all those who might profit from the new. This lukewarmness partly stems from fear of their adversaries, who have the law on their side, and partly from the skepticism of men, who do not truly believe in new things unless they have personal experience in them."

"I request permanent reassignment to the Gallic frontier. Nay, I demand reassignment. Perhaps it is improper to say so, but I refuse to fight against the Greeks or Macedonians any more. Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. I am not the young man I once was, but I swear before Jupiter Optimus Maximus that I shall see a world without Gauls before I take my final breath."

Written by a man who made huge strides for the progressive and radical movement in the UK AGAINST the conservatives over here. His harm principle is brilliant and I agree wholeheartedly with it - but unfortunately not the part of his principle in your sig.

Better examples of his work are -

If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.

    and

The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental or spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest.

Something a lot of conservatives - especially in the US - seem to forget/ignore/hold in contempt etc...

A great man who isn't done justice with your sig.
GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.

Jean Paul Sartre - No Exit 1944
