I know what you mean. I'm 15 and my friends don't know why I'm obsessed with MTW (except my friends with RTW who are obsessed with that). It's truly a great addictive game. And I think the governor only gets acumen points by staying in the province. He gets dread by executing all rebels, prisoners, etc. and other things. If you don't want him to get those vices then balance it out by moving him around every now and then but keep him there the majority of the time. And you can resist an irresistible charge if you have the right units, like armored pikement with good upgrades.

And it's nice to know people in Croatia have computers. I was expecting a bunch of tin shacks stuck together with mud and clay with people dying of famine every day.
